Um… this is not very exciting and probably, no one cares but trust me nothing else that happened this week is any better. Anyways, this wednesday my school band is going to a music competition thats called Kiwanis. Our music teacher says we are lucky just to be able to compete, which I think may be code for “ we have no chance of winningâ€. But oh well because it will be a good experience and I’ll get to miss school! Oh and by the way, I want to figure out how many people read these blogs every week, so if you read it, can you leave a comment to let me know? Thanks.

Retreat! Retreat!
This weekend I went on a retreat with my youth group at Bridlewood Presbyterian Church. it was fun and I learned to play a new card game.We had a talent show, played broom ball and went sledding too. Also, I got accepted to an arts high school called Rosedale Heights School For The Arts and I’m probably going to go. Some other people I know from school got accepted too.
My First Hockey Game
I know it’s really sad because I’m Canadian and everything, but today was the first time I ever saw a live hockey game. I went with my cousins Melanie and Warren and their parents Simone and Keith. We saw my cousin Craig play, who is on a rep team called the Penguins. When we got there the game had just started and the Penguins were trailing 0 to 1. Soon they started scoring though and in no time it was 5 to 1 for the penguins. But I didn’t see much of what happened because I was playing tag with Melanie, Warren and Erin. By the end of the game the Penguins had won 7 to 3. All the players tackled Craig since he is the goalie. It was a good hockey game.
How to make a sandwich
This summer I am going to go to pioneer camp instead of Knox like I usually do. It is for two weeks and it sounds fun! Erin has to go too and she is not very happy about it. The only thing I’m not happy about is that I will probably have to miss being a councilor at my church day camp like I did last year. Oh well though, it’s not that big a deal. At least I can still go to the cottage. Also I’ll play soccer again like i did for the past two years. Here is a recipe for how to make a sandwich. Chances are, you already know but I can’t think of anything to write about so I’m including this anyways. Ingredients : Two slices of brown bread
mustard (honey mustard)
one slice of ham
some leaves of lettuce
a few slices of tomato
a few slices of cheese
Instructions : Put every thing on the bread. Eat it.

Okay, here goes: My name is Catherine but if you’re reading this you should already know that.My favourite colour is purple and my favourite subject is geography. I like shopping, dancing, reading,animals and hanging out with my friends. Over the holidays my family celebrated christmas, saw all our relatives and I had a sleepover with my friends.We stayed up until six, which was not very smart because then I was really tired the next day.My birthday is in two weeks and I will turn 14.
